Financing Help for Your Build

Very few first-time owners fund a build out of pocket. If that is you, say so early — it changes the conversation, and it is better had before the spec is locked than after.

How this works

Financing help is part of what we offer. The practical version is simple: tell us on your quote request that you are interested, and we will go through the options with you alongside the build conversation, so the spec and the funding are being worked out together rather than in sequence.

What we will not do is publish terms on a web page. Rates, approvals and eligibility are not ours to promise, and a number posted here would be a number you could not rely on. Ask us directly and you will get a straight answer about what is and is not possible for your situation.

What to bring to the conversation

None of this is required to request a quote. It just makes the financing conversation faster when we get to it:

  • The build you have in mind

Truck or trailer, the menu, and roughly the scale — the spec drives the number that needs funding.

  • Your timeline

When you want to be operating. Funding and fabrication both take time, and they overlap differently depending on the route.

  • Where you'll operate

Your city and state, because both permitting and some funding routes are local.

  • What you can put in

Whatever you are able to contribute up front, even roughly. It shapes what is realistic.

Note: Specific financing terms are not published on this site. Anything about rates, eligibility or approval is discussed directly with you.

Straight answers only

  • No terms published here

You will not find rates, approval odds or credit requirements on this page. Those get discussed with you, in person, about your actual situation.

  • Earlier is better

Funding conversations that start after a spec is locked tend to mean redoing the spec.

  • Just ask

Call (773) 786-7775 or mark 'yes' on the financing question in the quote form and we will take it from there.

How it works

Five stages, start to keys

A build is a big purchase from a shop you may not have met. Here is the shape of it, so you know what happens next at every point.

  1. 1

    Consult

You tell us what you want to sell, where you want to sell it and what you are starting from — a truck you own, nothing yet, or somewhere in between. We ask a lot of questions at this stage on purpose. This is also when to raise financing, because it changes the shape of everything downstream.

  2. 2

    Design & quote

We work out the equipment schedule and the layout around your menu, and check it against what your jurisdiction expects. Then you get a written quote for that build. No published price list, no ballpark that quietly moves — a quote for the unit we just designed with you.

  3. 3

    Build

Fabrication and outfitting in the Chicago shop: framing and subfloor, the cooking line and its ventilation, water and waste, electrical, interior finishes, service window and exterior wrap. If you are local, come and see it on the floor — we would rather you did.

  4. 4

    Permits & inspection

The unit is built to the health and fire standard from stage two onward, so this stage is about readiness rather than rescue: making sure what was drawn is what is installed, and that you know what your inspector will be looking at.

  5. 5

    Delivery

You take the unit. Local clients collect from the shop; out-of-state clients get a delivery arrangement worked out during the quote, so it is settled long before the build is finished.

Financing questions

What are the rates and terms?

We do not publish rates or terms, and we would rather say so plainly than post a number that turns out not to apply to you. Ask us directly and we will tell you what is realistic for your build and your situation.

How do I start the conversation?

Mark 'yes' on the financing question in the quote form, or call (773) 786-7775. It goes into the same conversation as the build.

Does asking about financing slow down my quote?

No. The build quote and the funding conversation run alongside each other. Knowing early actually tends to speed things up.
