Builds on the road

For a purchase this size, past work is the only argument that really counts. Here is what we can show you today, and what is being added.

Featured build

Delicias Tacos — two food trucks, Chicago

The Delicias Tacos trucks working in Chicago are JC Installation builds: a pink truck serving tacos and a purple truck serving churros. Both are in service.

They are the clearest answer we have to the question every buyer is really asking — does this shop finish units, and do they hold up once they are working every day. These do.

Success story

A finished truck and the owners it belongs to

A wrapped taco truck parked outside on a bright winter morning, with its owners standing in front of it, certificate in hand.

This is what every stage before it is for. The menu conversation, the equipment schedule, the layout drawn against the code, the fabrication and the inspection prep all exist so a unit ends up here — finished, out of the shop, and with the people who are going to run it.

What we document on every build from here

This page is thin today, and we would rather tell you why than pad it out: past builds were not photographed properly before they left the shop. That is changing. On every build going forward we capture:

  • The unit as it arrives — bare shell, before anything is cut
  • Framing, subfloor and fabrication in progress on the shop floor
  • The cooking line, ventilation and utilities as they go in
  • Interior finishes and the service window
  • The finished unit, inside and out, before it leaves
  • Delivery day

Note: We would rather show you an incomplete portfolio than fill it with photos of somebody else's work. The build photography on this site is our own — our shop, our units, our owner. Everything else is clearly generic workshop stock, and none of it is captioned as a JC Installation project, because none of it is one.
